AIRPORT
Hicks Airport is very easy and convenient to fly in and out of because it doesn't have jet traffic or a busy control tower. You get a lot more flying within a shorter amount of time because there are no long taxi times or ATC delays. This greatly reduces the costs of flight training.
FINDING US
We are located at Hicks Airport in Fort Worth, only 20 minutes north of downtown, on the corner of Bonds Ranch Road and Business 287. Between Meacham Airport and Alliance Airport. Only ten minutes from I-35W, Keller, North Richland Hills, Saginaw, and Lake Worth, and 20 minutes from Southlake.

A CENTURY OF AVIATION HISTORY
You're not just learning to fly at any airport — Hicks has been part of aviation history since 1917. The original Hicks Field was established by the Royal Flying Corps of Canada as one of three Fort Worth training fields known as the “Flying Triangle,” used to train American and Canadian pilots for World War I. It later served as a primary training base for the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, processing over 2,400 cadets. The present Hicks Airfield opened in 1985 and carries on that legacy as one of the DFW area's most active general aviation airports, averaging over 80 aircraft operations per day.
